Steamed Nova Scotia Mussels

Steamed Nova Scotia Mussels
Ingredients:

2 lbs (1kg) Mussels
¼ cup (50 ml) Chopped onion
2 cloves of garlic, minced
2 tbsp (25ml) extra virgin olive oil
1 cup (250 ml) white wine
2 tbsp (25 ml) chopped parsley


Directions:

  1. Sauté onion and garlic in oil, in a large saucepan.

  2. Add mussels and wine and cover and cook for five to seven minutes or until the shells open.

  3. Serve garnished with the parsley.
